Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa, a vocal politician and ally of Deputy President William Ruto, found himself in a precarious situation in Kibra, Nairobi, when he was attacked by a group of ODM youths.

According to sources, the incident occurred on an unknown date in 2019, while Barasa was stationed at a polling station in Kibra, acting as an agent for Jubilee candidate McDonald Mariga.

Barasa, who is among the Luhya MPs allied to Ruto, was reportedly roughed up by the ODM youths before he managed to escape the scene.

‘’Please don’t kill me…please don’t kill me’’, he was overheard begging for mercy while escaping on foot.

Malava MP Moses Malulu was also forced to escape using a boda boda after irate ODM voters cornered him at one of the polling stations.

Other Jubilee politicians, including Osca Sudi and Bonny Khawale, had a similar experience earlier in the day when they were nearly lynched by ODM supporters.
