November 6, 2019, will be remembered as a day of shock and loss for former Kisumu East legislator Gor Sungu. His son's expensive bicycle was stolen from him at Alango village in Kisumu West, leaving Sungu heartbroken.
According to Sungu, the theft occurred at 4PM on that fateful day. The stolen bicycle, a multicolored Philips Mountain Bike, is currently retailing at Ksh. 18,500 on Ali-Express.
In a bizarre appeal, Sungu took to his social media handle to ask friends and the general public to be on the lookout for the stolen bicycle. He promised bountiful rewards for anyone who could get the bicycle back to his residence.
For those who may not know, Sungu was the MP for Kisumu East from 1997 until he lost to the incumbent in the 2007 general elections. During his time at the August House, he chaired a Parliamentary select committee tasked with looking into the murder of the then foreign affairs minister, Robert Ouko.
