On November 7, 2019, Tanzanian rapper Rosa Ree found herself at the center of a controversy after sharing intimate photos with Kenyan superstar Timmy Tdat.

The two musicians had collaborated on a song called Vitamin U, which was initially flagged by YouTube for its content before being cleared with a censored version.

While the release of the song and accompanying photos may have been seen as innocuous in Kenya, authorities in Tanzania deemed it 'immoral'.

Rosa Ree has not publicly disclosed the details of her meeting with the authorities.

This is not the first time Tanzanian celebrities have been summoned by authorities for their actions. Diamond Platnumz, Hamisa Mobetto, Nandy, and Wema Sepetu are among those who have faced similar scrutiny in the past.
