On November 7, 2019, the entertainment industry was left in shock after the sudden death of comedian James Anthony Njenga, popularly known as Njenga Mswahili.
Njenga Mswahili was a talented comedian who had appeared on the Churchill Show and other events, bringing joy to his audience.
According to a post shared by the Laugh Industry family, Njenga Mswahili was found dead on rail tracks after being hit by a train. The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
It is worth noting that Njenga Mswahili had been struggling with addiction, but he was seeking rehabilitation help at the time of his death.
As the entertainment industry mourns the loss of this talented comedian, the Laugh Industry family has expressed their condolences to his family and friends.
"It with deep regrets that Laugh Industry announces the death of one popular comedian who graced our program on TV the Churchill Show in its early years," the post read.
"James Anthony Njenga AKA _Njenga Mswahili,_ was found dead on rail tracks this morning after being hit by a train, it is not clear under which circumstances this fate befell him, but police are been involved and more will be divulged later," the post continued.
"It must be acknowledged that he has not been well and as an entity we have been involved in his well being by taking him to rehabilitation programme for some time together with family and friends," the post added.
"Sorrow is such a creative life cut short! We join the family in preparation of his interment. For now, we wish you join us and his immediate in celebrating the life and times of this great creative comedian who graced #ChurchillShow and #ChurchillRaw programs amongst other events," the post concluded.
"Fare the well #RIPNjengaMswahili," the post ended.
