Netflix has announced that it will be discontinuing support for some older devices, including certain Samsung smart TVs and Roku streamers, starting December 1, 2019.

The decision is due to technical limitations, according to Samsung's support website, which states that 'due to technical limitations, Netflix will no longer be supported on some devices beginning on December 1st, 2019.'

Unfortunately, Samsung has not specified which of its smart TVs will be affected, but it is recommended that owners of older Samsung TVs check Netflix's list of supported devices to see if their model is still supported.

Some of the affected devices include the Roku 2000C, Roku 2050X, Roku 2100X, Roku HD, Roku SD, Roku XD, and Roku XR, as well as any other Roku devices that cannot auto-play the next episode.

Additionally, Samsung TVs from 2010 and 2011 with a C or D in the model code will also lose Netflix support.

It's worth noting that while these devices will no longer be able to access Netflix directly, users can still watch Netflix on their TVs using a supported device, such as a Roku, Apple TV, or PlayStation 4.

For more information, users can check Netflix's official list of supported devices and Samsung's support page for more details.
