Published on November 7, 2019, Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has made it clear he will not change his style of play despite Pep Guardiola's accusation of 'diving.'
Guardiola's comments came after Mane was booked for going down in the penalty area following a challenge by Aston Villa's Frederic Guilbert in a Champions League match.
Mane, however, remains unmoved by the criticism, believing that if there is contact, he has a right to go down. He even offered a sarcastic response to Guardiola, saying, 'If it could be a penalty for sure I will 'dive' again.'
Mane emphasized that he does not dive and that he will continue to play his football as he always does. He also stated that Guardiola's comments do not affect his motivation and that he will be ready to give everything possible to help his team.
The match between Liverpool and Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday is undoubtedly the game of the season so far, with City trailing Liverpool by six points in the Premier League.
