On November 7, 2019, Ford Kenya aspirant Khamisi Butichi asked the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to extend voting time.
Butichi's request was made in a bid to ensure that all eligible voters have sufficient time to cast their ballots.
IEBC has not yet responded to the request, but the commission has been working to ensure a smooth voting process.
