Kenyan singer Akothee recently faced backlash from her fans after her performance started at 3:00am, leaving many of them disappointed and frustrated.
According to Akothee, she was at the mercy of her promoters and managers, who were responsible for the delay in her performance.
She explained that she had wished to start her performance by 12:00am, but her team had other plans.
In a lengthy post on social media, Akothee apologized to her fans for the inconvenience caused and explained that she was not responsible for the delay.
She also clarified that she does not drink or smoke and that she values her fans, but she cannot be held accountable for the actions of her promoters.
Akothee also revealed that she has invested over $650,000 in building her brand and that she will do anything to protect it.
She also took a swipe at fans who disrespect her and utter rubbish to her, saying that she is human with blood and flesh too.
She concluded by saying that she gives it to her fans just like they serve it to her, and that lying is not in her dictionary.
November 7, 2019, was a night to remember for Akothee's fans, but not for the right reasons.
