On Thursday, former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale was chased out of Laini Saba ward in a dramatic scene where he had gone to represent Jubilee party candidate McDonald Mariga.

Dr Khalwale was seen walking frantically as rowdy youth followed closely behind, throwing stones and hurling insults at the politician. Some locals attempted to protect him from the attacks.

According to reports, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi also had to jump over a Mabati fence in one of the polling stations, as claimed by ODM MP Junet Mohamed.
