November 7, 2019 - Polls have opened in the Kibra by-election, with voters casting their ballots in the five wards of the constituency.
According to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the 2017 voter register will be used for the by-election.
Police officers have been deployed at all polling stations to maintain order and ensure a smooth voting process.
At least 118,658 voters are expected to cast their ballots in the election, which is being closely contested by 24 candidates.
The by-election follows the death of the area Member of Parliament Ken Okoth, who succumbed to cancer in July.
