On November 7, 2019, Ken Okoth's mother made a public appearance for the first time since burying her son, who had succumbed to colorectal cancer on July 26, 2019, at the Nairobi Hospital.
Her son, Ken Okoth, was the former Member of Parliament for Kibra, and his mother was spotted at Kibera Primary School, where she had gone to vote for her other son, Imran, who was running for the Kibra parliamentary seat on an ODM ticket.
