Man Pleads Guilty to Attempted Robbery of Arsenal's Ozil and Kolasinac

Published on November 7, 2019, a second man has pleaded guilty to the attempted robbery of Arsenal's Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac.

On Wednesday, Jordan Northover, 26, appeared at Harrow Crown Court and admitted attempting to steal watches from the two players.

The incident occurred on July 25 in Platts Lane, Hampstead, north-west London, where CCTV footage showed Kolasinac chasing off the two moped attackers.

Ozil was seen taking refuge in a Turkish restaurant after the attackers were chased away.

Chief Inspector Jim Corbett from the Metropolitan Police stated, 'Northover and Smith attempted this brazen robbery after travelling around streets nearby, looking for people to rob.'

Northover will be sentenced at a later date, while Ashley Smith, who pleaded guilty on October 3, will be sentenced on November 8.
