Heated Debate Over HIV Test Results

Radio presenter Kamene Goro recently shared her HIV test results on social media, but the post quickly turned into a heated debate.

On November 7, 2019, Kamene Goro posted a photo of her HIV test results, which showed a negative result. However, the caption sparked controversy, with some fans questioning her decision to post the results.

One fan asked, 'Would you have shown it if the result was positive?' Kamene responded, 'Does it matter? Getting tested is the point! Knowing where you stand is the point! Not a negative or positive test!'

However, the debate continued, with some fans accusing Kamene of being insensitive for posting her negative results. One fan wrote, 'Very insensitive to post a negative result. Should of taken the picture before the result appeared on the strip or taken a picture of the kit, that would of sufficed to get the message across.'

Others defended Kamene, saying that she was trying to raise awareness about HIV testing. One fan wrote, 'What is wrong with our society. The point across is knowing your status. The people who wrote such idiotic comments are the ones who still place a stigma on HIV+ people.'

Despite the controversy, Kamene remained firm in her stance, saying that she was trying to promote HIV awareness and encourage people to get tested.

As the debate continued, some fans began to defend Kamene, saying that she was trying to do something positive. One fan wrote, 'Babe don't struggle... You inspired someone to go test. That's great keep doing you and leading from the front.'

However, the debate continued, with some fans accusing Kamene of being insensitive and others defending her for trying to raise awareness about HIV testing.
