On November 7, 2019, Media Max, the parent company of Kameme TV and K24, made headlines after sacking over 160 employees, including popular journalists Man Nyari, Moses Kanyira, and Keziah wa Kariuki.

The firing of Man Nyari, in particular, sparked widespread anger among listeners of Kameme radio, who demanded his reinstatement.

Following the public outcry, Kameme radio has rehired Man Nyari, who returned to his popular show 'Njanjo ya Muturire' with a heartfelt message.

“The voice of the people, the voice of God! Hallo team Njanjo. I want to take this opportunity to thank the Almighty God for hearing our cry… the voice of Wanjiku, the cry of the of the voiceless,” Man Nyari said.

He went on to express gratitude to Mediamax for giving him another chance to serve the voiceless and the downtrodden, and to pray for humility in his service.
