Akothee Left Stranded in Minneapolis by Promoters

On November 1, 2019, singer Akothee was scheduled to perform in Minneapolis as part of her world music tour. However, she was left stranded by her promoters, who failed to provide her with transportation to the venue.

According to Akothee, she was checked into a budget hotel and left to fend for herself. She wrote on Instagram, "You checked me into a budget hotel, I still kept my calm, I was tired so I slept, the following day, you only checked me into the hotel at 7.30 PM, I needed rest, so I slept for 2 hours and was awake by 10.00 PM, I was ready for the show by 12.00 but there was no car to take me to the venue, and you had not given the manager the balance."

Akothee further alleged that her promoter, Sarah, had promised to donate to her foundation but failed to do so. She also claimed that Sarah had left her manager stranded at the airport with no means of transportation.

It was not until the intervention of other people who paid for her flights and other expenses that Akothee was able to return home. Her manager, however, was not as lucky and was left stranded at the airport.

Akothee's post on Instagram has sparked outrage among her fans, who are calling for Sarah to be held accountable for her actions.
