Published on November 7, 2019, Eric Omondi, a renowned Kenyan comedian, has spoken out about his unusual dislike for former President Mwai Kibaki.

As a regular performer on the Churchill Show, Omondi has had the opportunity to entertain all three presidents of Kenya, including Kibaki, Uhuru Kenyatta, and Mwai Kibaki's predecessor.

During a recent appearance on the Churchill Show, Omondi shared his candid thoughts about Kibaki, stating, 'I respect Kibaki so much but simpendi [I don’t like him]. I’ve performed for him eight times but up to now, he doesn’t know I am.'

One particular incident that stood out to Omondi was when he performed at Jamhuri Day in 2013, riding a horse to make a grand entrance. However, Kibaki's reaction was less than enthusiastic, with Omondi describing the scene as 'a stone face.'

Despite being invited to entertain guests at the launch of the Syokimau SGR the following day, Kibaki still failed to recognize Omondi.

However, Omondi's experience with Uhuru Kenyatta was a stark contrast, with the comedian praising the current president as 'digital and easy going.'
