Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama has sent a message of goodwill to his brother, MacDonald Mariga, ahead of the Kibra by-election.

Mariga, a former footballer, is vying for the Kibra parliamentary seat on a Jubilee Party ticket.

Wanyama, who has been following the Kibra politics closely, posted a photo of Mariga wearing a Jubilee Party shirt and accompanied it with a message that read, "Kila la heri."

Mariga will be facing off against Imran Okoth of the ODM party, Eliud Owalo of the ANC, and other candidates in the by-election.

The Kibra parliamentary seat fell vacant after the death of Ken Okoth in July this year due to colon cancer.

Mariga had announced his entry into politics two months ago, ending his 13-year football career.
