Bayern Munich's search for a new head coach continues, with several high-profile candidates emerging as potential replacements for Niko Kovac.

Among those linked to the job is Arsene Wenger, the 70-year-old Frenchman who coached Arsenal from October 1996 until May 2018.

When asked by broadcaster beIn Sports about working at Bayern, Wenger gave an evasive answer, saying only that he misses certain aspects of coaching.

"Something you miss, of course," Wenger said, referring to the satisfaction of winning matches and preparing players.

However, it appears that Wenger is not the only candidate to have been approached by Bayern. Ralf Rangnick, the head of sport and development at Red Bull, has reportedly turned down the opportunity to take the job.

"Ralf is not available. We don't believe that what Ralf Rangnick is all about is currently being sought by Bayern," Rangnick's manager Marc Kosicke told German daily Bild.

Bayern's club president, Uli Hoeness, has stated that he expects to be able to name a new head coach by the team's next away game at Fortuna Duesseldorf on November 23.

Former Real Madrid and Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho and ex-Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri have also been linked to the job by the German media.
