Mediamax Limited has reversed its decision to sack popular presenter Man Nyari after fans went on social media rampage, complaining loudly since his firing last week.

Man Nyari, who broadcasts on Kameme FM and Kameme TV, was among 170 employees let go in a round of mass firings on grounds of redundancy on November 6, 2019.

However, in the days that followed, his fans laid siege on all Kameme FM and TV social media, demanding for their presenter to be taken back.

Man Nyari's popular programme, Njanjo ya Muturire (The Dose of Life), was last week hosted by a different presenter who had a rough time as fans kept on demanding for reinstatement of the status quo.

Man Nyari first joined Kameme as an actor in a radio play known as 'Micii Ni Ndogo' which attracted a huge audience.

He was later employed as a comedian and paired with Njogu Wa Njoroge to co-host breakfast show 'Arahuka', and later teamed up with Gatonye Wa Mbugua in the morning programme.

Before his sacking, he was co-hosting night show 'Mawatchmen' alongside Kamau Wa Kamlesh.

Man Nyari, who is also a renowned gospel musician, seemed to be more inclined towards Njanjo Ya Muturire show and he says he was 'disappointed' he will be no longer hosting it.

“I am back with a bang, every Saturday we will be on Kameme TV and Kameme FM. I want to thank the management at Mediamax for listening to our listeners. It is not always about money, but more about supporting our communities,” he announced on Wednesday.

The popular programme seeks to reunite lost family members with their relatives and before he left Man Nyari had reunited more than 200 families with their long lost loved ones.
