Published on November 6, 2019, former Harambee Stars striker Dennis Oliech has cast doubts on Gor Mahia's ability to win the Kenya Premier League title this season.

Gor Mahia, who are eyeing a record 19th Kenya Premier League title, have started the season in fine form, but Oliech believes their poor away record will ultimately cost them the championship.

According to Oliech, Gor Mahia's failure to shine during the continental showpiece could have a ripple effect on their KPL campaign, adding that the Steven Polack-tutored side lack an experienced squad to steer them to glory.

“Gor Mahia has started the league in fine form but they have a bad away record hence cannot win KPL this season,” Oliech was quoted saying by Nairobi News.

He further added, “The best they [Gor Mahia] can finish is position 3 or 4. They sold many experienced players and the current squad needs time to gel,”

As the reigning champions, Gor Mahia still have three matches to play ahead of their mouthwatering meeting with rivals, AFC Leopards.
