On November 6, 2019, Bandari coach Bernard Mwalala addressed rumors surrounding his potential coaching job at Tanzanian club Yanga.
Speaking hours before his team faced Western Stima in a Kenyan Premier League match in Kisumu, Mwalala described the reports as mere 'rumour.'
‘Those are just rumours and I do not normally respond to that,’ Mwalala told the Citizen website.
He emphasized his focus on the matches leading up to the international break, stating that switching his attention to Yanga would be a 'big mistake.'
Yanga had recently fired Congolese coach Mwinyi Zahera following a series of disappointing performances, and the club appointed veteran trainer Charles Mkwasaa in an interim capacity.
