On November 6, 2019, a photo of a woman inside the cockpit of an Air Gianlin plane sparked safety concerns after it was posted on social media platform Weibo.
The photo, which was first spotted by a Chinese blogger, showed the woman seated inside the cockpit while the plane was still midair.
Her caption read: 'Super thankful to the pilot! I am really so excited.'
According to CNN, Air Gianlin confirmed the incident and stated that the captain had been suspended, along with the rest of the crew pending investigations.
The airline also emphasized that the safety of its passengers is of utmost priority and that it does not condone unprofessional acts.
The woman in the photo was identified as a student at Gianlin Tourism University, studying to become a flight attendant.
It is unclear whether she has a relationship with the pilot.
