On November 4, 2019, a tragic incident occurred in Tangakona area, Teso South, Busia County, where a middle-aged man lost his life after being brutally beaten by a traditional brew seller.
The victim, Dennis Juma Oita, 25, owed Sh100 to one of the brewers, which led to a violent confrontation.
According to reports, the brewer allegedly struck Mr. Juma in the neck using a brick, leaving him severely injured.
Despite being rushed to the Busia County Referral Hospital, Mr. Oita succumbed to his injuries on Monday evening, November 4, 2019.
The family of the deceased claims that the attacker has yet to be arrested, sparking concerns over the lack of action by the authorities.
However, the police maintain that they are actively searching for the suspect.
