On November 1st, 2019, Akothee found herself stranded in Minneapolis, America, after being invited by a wealthy hostess who promised to promote and support her Akothee Foundation.
According to Akothee, her hostess, Sarah, had initially promised to get her and her rich friends to donate to the foundation, but things took a turn for the worse when Akothee arrived in Minneapolis.
Akothee took to her social media pages to narrate her ordeal, stating that Sarah had forced her to cancel her flight to attend a show in Minneapolis, and then proceeded to treat her poorly.
She claimed that Sarah had checked her into a budget hotel, and then left her there for hours without a car to take her to the venue. Akothee also alleged that Sarah had not given her manager the balance for her flight, and had left her stranded at the venue at 2am.
After the show, Akothee had a photo session with fans, but was then left in the cold with no car to drive her back to the hotel. A gentleman eventually came with Sarah's car keys and drove Akothee back to the hotel.
However, things took a further turn when Akothee's manager was left stranded in the cold with no means of transport to come back to the hotel.
Akothee expressed her disgust at the thought of paying for a man's bills, and questioned why she was supposed to contact Sarah directly after the show if she didn't contact her before.
She also revealed that she had not received the donations that Sarah had promised to get from her rich friends, and that she had only received $5000 from her fans and family for a borehole project.
Akothee ended her post by asking her fans to know what happened in Minneapolis on November 1st, 2019, and whether Sarah would leave her own children in the cold like she did to Akothee's manager.
