On Tuesday, police officers accompanied by Ministry of Education officials conducted a raid at the Milimani Ramasha Academy in Kisii County, arresting seven impersonators, the owner of the school, and two others suspected of engaging in malpractices.

The arrest came as the KCSE examination entered its second day. According to Education CS Professor George Magoha, the exam cheating was planned and executed with the full knowledge of examiners.

On Monday, Prof. Magoha revealed that the government had thwarted an attempt to compromise the KCSE exams by some parents in Nyanza who had contributed money to bribe exam officials and obtain the papers.

Prof. Magoha stated that the parents in Homa Bay, Migori, and Kisii had contributed Ksh.200,000, which was to be distributed to supervisors, invigilators, and police.

Prof. Magoha urged candidates to avoid any form of cheating in the exams, warning that anyone caught would have their results cancelled.
