'We could see that our recent song 'Tarimbo' had not been well-received by our fans, and we knew it had sparked mixed emotions among Kenyans. We did not intend to offend anyone, but rather to entertain our fans,' a statement from the group read.

November 1, 2019, saw Ezekiel Mutua, the CEO of the Film and Classification Board, write a lengthy letter to the group, warning them to remove the song from the internet or face legal action.
