November 5, 2019, marked a day of intense debate in Kenya's political landscape as Wavinya Ndeti, a former Kathiani MP, took to social media to express her outrage over comments made by Raila Odinga, the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), about women from the Kamba community.

During a campaign rally in Kibra, Raila Odingi made remarks that were perceived as demeaning to women from the Kamba community, sparking a heated reaction from Wavinya Ndeti.

"Wakamba ni waaminifu na hao ni kama kina mama, wakisema watakupatia, watakupatia," Raila Odinga said, as the crowd erupted in cheers and applause.

However, Wavinya Ndeti was not amused, and she quickly took to her Twitter account to express her disappointment and frustration with Raila Odinga's comments.

"Baba nimegadhabishwa na matamshi yako. Wakamba ni waaminifu na wavumilivu lakini hatutamruhusu yeyote kutudhulumu kwa aina yoyote ile. Tulikuunga mkono kwa miaka 10 na unapaswa kuiheshimu jamii yangu," Wavinya Ndeti tweeted.

Wavinya Ndeti's outburst has sparked a heated debate on social media, with many Kenyans expressing their support for her stance.
