Published on November 5, 2019, Gor Mahia has introduced a simplified e-ticketing system for the Mashemeji derby at Kasarani Stadium, making it easier for all mobile phone users to access tickets.
The club's CEO, Lordvic Aduda, explained that the new system will be as easy as buying items via mobile money, and the club will reveal the USSD code on Tuesday to address previous online challenges.
Aduda stated, 'We have had challenges before and have kept correcting the errors. For this derby, I believe everything will flow and all mobile phone users, regardless of the type of the gadget will be able to get online tickets.'
The club has faced challenges with the verification of genuineness of online tickets, with some crafty online masters generating fake tickets that are sold to unsuspecting fans.
Gor Mahia will host Ingwe in the season's first Mashemeji derby on Sunday at Kasarani Stadium from 3 pm, with the former having won all their league matches this season.
Ingwe, on the other hand, have played three matches more and sit at position two on the log with 15 points, the same as AFC Leopards.
Aduda added, 'Before the day ends, we will let the public know how to go about the new easy procedure which takes less than two minutes to generate a genuine entry ticket. We will not go back to the old ticketing system regardless of the challenges earlier encountered.'
The local giants, who were eliminated from the CAF Confederation campaign, are now fully focused on the local league and will continue their campaign against Mathare United at Machakos' Kenyatta Stadium from 3 pm.
