On Tuesday, the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams kicked off in several parts of the country, including Narok County, where some areas experienced rain.
Despite the challenging weather conditions, exams have been reaching the examination centers on time, according to the Narok County Director of Education, Phillip Wambua.
Wambua noted that no major incidents had been reported, including the common issues surrounding candidates giving birth before and during examinations.
The Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Education for Post Training & Skills Development, Alfred Cheruiyot, expressed satisfaction with the manner in which the KCSE has so far been handled.
Cheruiyot, who was in Narok to witness the opening of the exam container, visited candidates in Narok Boys, Maasai Girls, and other secondary schools in the County to monitor the administration of the KCSE exam.
He called on all parties involved to play their part to ensure the integrity of the exercise in order to deliver credible examination.
As part of efforts to ensure a credible process, the government has emphasized the importance of adhering to rules and regulations during the KCSE exams.
