The 2019 East African Safari Classic Rally, sponsored by Safaricom, is set to kick off on November 28, with a strong focus on security. In preparation, 300 police officers and 60 boda boda riders will be deployed to ensure a smooth and safe event.
According to Pipi Renu, the General Manager of the East African Safari Rally Ltd., 21 entries have been received so far, with seven drivers representing Kenya and three crews from Sweden.
On November 5, the rally's sponsors gathered at Pan Afric Hotel to show their support for the event, with notable guests including Sitoyo Lopokoiyit, Director of M-Pesa at Safaricom, and other industry leaders.
As the rally approaches, organizers are working to ensure a successful and secure event. With the deployment of police officers and boda boda riders, participants and spectators can expect a high level of security throughout the rally.
