Published on November 5, 2019, Sergio Aguero, the Argentine striker for Manchester City, has reaffirmed the club's long-standing rivalry with Manchester United.

According to Aguero, despite Liverpool's impressive run of results and their current position at the top of the Premier League table, City still consider their matches against United to be the most important.

City will face Liverpool at Anfield on November 10, 2019, in a crucial league match that could significantly impact the title race.

Manchester City narrowly beat Liverpool to the league championship by a single point last season, and this year's contest is expected to be just as intense.

When asked about the rivalry between City and Liverpool, Aguero stated, "It may be the clasico for television, but for us, the clasico, it's the match against United," in an interview with France Football (via Sport Witness).

He further emphasized, "Liverpool has always been a tough opponent. But when I arrived, the team we were fighting for the title was United," highlighting the enduring nature of City's rivalry with United.
