NRG Radio's Mwalimu Racheal has taken a cautious approach to managing her team Sailors Gang's music, ensuring that their songs do not cross moral boundaries.

According to Mwalimu Racheal, she has had to stop certain lyrics from appearing on Sailors tracks and even edit out raunchy parts of their music videos.

Her statement comes after the controversy surrounding Ethics' song Tarimbo, which some Kenyans claimed advocated for rape.

On November 4, 2019, Mwalimu Racheal tweeted,

“I too have had to stop certain lyrics from appearing on @sailors254 tracks and even why a part of a video has to be edited out. I go a step forward to EXPLAIN to Sailors WHY that has to be done. They may challenge but in the end understand why. Our Gengetone artists need guidance” pic.twitter.com/7WuSw2aVCp
