On Monday, November 4, 2019, President Uhuru Kenyatta visited Gatundu, mingling with locals before returning to Nairobi to await the release of the Census results.

However, behind the scenes, the President and ODM leader Raila Odinga were busy assembling their forces in preparation for the release of the BBI Report, which the joint task force had submitted to the head of state.

According to sources, top political parties, including KANU, Maendeleo Chap Chap, Narc, and Chama Cha Mashinani, have expressed their support for the BBI report, indicating a possible alliance between ODM and President Uhuru Kenyatta's wing of Jubilee.

At the Kibra ODM rally on Sunday, November 3, 2019, Kirinyaga Governor, a senior member of Jubilee Party, declared, 'We are here in respect of President Uhuru Kenyatta and the handshake. We will be back again to drum up support for the BBI and we ask you to join us in this journey.'

President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga hope to leverage the influence and financial power of governors to rally Kenyans behind the initiative, with the duo already reaching out to the Council of Governors to secure their support.
