According to Senator Aaron Cheruiyot, 17,101 families displaced from Mau Forest, particularly in the area mentioned, will be prioritized for assistance.

The funds used to purchase the land were contributed by leaders from the Rift Valley region, although the exact amount has not been disclosed.

The 24-acre land is located in Tendwet, Narok County, where the displaced families are expected to be resettled.

Leaders from the Rift Valley region have decided to allocate the land to the displaced families before they decide where to settle.
