Media personality Julie Gichuru has spoken candidly about the challenges she faced after her parents' divorce in 1995.
At the time, Julie was 21 years old and in her second year of studying law at the University of Wales College of Cardiff (UWCC) in Wales.
Her parents' divorce left her without a home to go to, and she was forced to take up two jobs to pay for her tuition fees.
Julie has revealed that she struggled with feelings of fear and anxiety during this period, but found solace in her faith in God.
She wrote on social media: "I was frightened and anxious. I lamented with God. I told him I was so angry with Him but I still loved Him and asked Him to hold me tight and never let me go."
Julie's faith ultimately helped her to get through this tough period in her life, and she encouraged her followers to never doubt that they too can achieve their goals, as long as they keep moving forward.
She wrote: "Never doubt that you can get there. Never stop moving forward."
