Sofapaka coach Divaldo Alves expressed frustration with the condition of Bukhungu Stadium after his team's 2-2 draw with Kakamega Homeboyz on November 3, 2019.

The game's kick-off was delayed by an hour due to heavy rains, which left the playing surface in poor condition.

Alves stated that the clogged playing surface made it difficult for his players to control the ball efficiently, hindering their ability to play their preferred style of football.

"We are a team that likes to play with the ball on our feet, but unfortunately, with this ground, we were not able to do that," Alves said in an interview with Citizen Digital.

He acknowledged that Homeboyz played well, particularly in the first half, but praised Sofapaka for their good spirit and mentality in snatching a draw.

Alves challenged his team to rediscover their winning form when they face Wazito on Saturday, emphasizing the importance of securing a win to improve their league position.

Kakamega Homeboyz coach Nicholas Muyoti shared similar concerns about the pitch, stating that it prevented his players from expressing themselves and hindered their ability to achieve their playing style.
