On Saturday, the Go Kart Championship Circuit came to a thrilling end, marking the conclusion of the Kenya Racing Festival.

The amateur karting tournament, which attracted at least 80 teams, provided a unique opportunity for racing enthusiasts to experience the professional side of karting.

Johnnie Walker, the 'Official Whisky' of Formula 1, sponsored the event, which has a rich history dating back to the 1950s.

Sim-U-Nation emerged victorious, securing a fully-paid trip to the United Arab Emirates to watch the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The team, comprising Steve Muriuki, Ed Behr, Sam Karangatha, and Wessel Van Djick, recorded the fastest time in all seven rounds of the championship, earning 284 points.

Team Corsa Volate came in second with 216 points, while Master Bater secured third place with 202 points.

After the awarding ceremony, the party began, featuring performances by Namesless, Bensoul, and Nvirii the Storyteller. The after-party was a musical extravaganza, with DJ Shawn, DJ Fabz, and DJ Que taking turns to entertain the crowd.

The event was a rare moment of joy, with couples dancing to Bensoul's hit song 'Favorite' and the crowd singing along to Nameless's performances.
