Deputy President William Ruto has strongly denied allegations of infidelity made by lawyer Miguna Miguna, calling them 'wild' and 'untrue'.

Published on November 4, 2019, Miguna had written an article claiming that Ruto was a promiscuous man with many illegitimate children, saying he often engaged in uncountable sex affairs with young ladies.

Ruto described Miguna's claims as a 'fool's creation', saying they were baseless and lacked authenticity. He emphasized that his own wife had never had any mistrust in him, and that Miguna's allegations were a desperate attempt to tarnish his reputation.

The Deputy President said that his religious and spiritual life would not allow him to engage in practices that demeaned the very teachings of the church, saying his conscience would never allow him to compromise his integrity.

He described the Kenyans who have always associated him with cases of unfaithfulness as 'busybodies' who simply hated his course of transforming Kenya into a world-class nation.

Ruto called the allegations 'cheap politics', saying it was insane and immature for one to resort to peddling lies against another person in the name of revealing the underlying truths.
