On November 4, 2019, a suspected gas explosion rocked the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD), leaving several people injured.
The explosion occurred at a hotel in Kamukunji, next to the Country bus stage, according to reports from Pulselive.co.ke.
Eye witnesses stated that a gas cylinder exploded at a popular fast food outlet, identified as Classio Hotel in Kamukunji.
St. John's Ambulance rushed casualties to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), where they received treatment.
"At least 14 injured, including an infant at Kamukunji gas explosion. Casualties taken to Kenyatta National Hospital," said St. John's Ambulance.
