On November 4, 2019, Kenya National Bureau of Statistics Director General Zachary Mwangi unveiled the country's population census report at State House.
With a total population of 47,584,296, Kenya's demographics reveal a significant female majority, comprising 50.5% of the population, or approximately 24,014,716 individuals. The remaining 49.5% are male, totaling 23,548,056, while 1,524 citizens identify as Intersex.

Director General Mwangi announced that the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics will further analyze the data to produce four additional reports, focusing on population distribution by administrative units, age and sex by county, and social-economic characteristics.
President Uhuru Kenyatta expressed gratitude to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics for conducting a successful census, acknowledging the crucial role of security personnel in maintaining peace during the exercise.
