On November 4, 2019, news broke out that Lawyer Kamotho Waiganjo, who recently tied the knot with Governor Anne Mumbi Waiguru, was admitted to Kenyatta National Hospital with a strange swelling on his groin.
According to medics at the hospital, Waiganjo was diagnosed with Balanitis, a rare condition that occurs when the surface of the groin becomes irritated and inflamed, often due to the presence of a disease-causing germ.
Dr. Musili Carlos, a medic at the hospital, stated, "We are in the process of removing the disease causing germ surgically before it spreads to the other parts of the body. It is a painless procedure that may take the patient up to one week to fully heal."
