On November 4, 2019, the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) released the results of the Kenya Population Census, revealing a significant increase in the country's population.
The census, conducted on August 24 and 25, 2019, showed that Kenya's population has grown to 47,564,296 million people, up from 38.6 million in 2010.
According to the report, women outnumber men, with 24 million women compared to 23.6 million men.
The most populous counties in the country are Nairobi, Kiambu, Nakuru, Kakamega, Bungoma, and Kilifi, with the capital city, Nairobi, being the most populous.
The census results were presented to President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House in Nairobi.
