Stivo Simple Boy, the talented artiste, has been making waves with his music, inspiring the youth to stay away from drugs and pursue their dreams. Born in a family of eight, Stivo's life took a tough turn when he lost a sister in Oyugis, Homabay county, before moving to Kibra.

As he shared with Betty Kyallo in an interview on UpClose, Stivo's upbringing was far from easy. 'I was born in a family of eight, but lost one of my sisters in Oyugis, Homabay county before moving to Kibra. Growing up was a bit challenging. School fees was a problem and after class eight I couldn’t go on with my education,' he said.

Stivo's parents, though supportive, couldn't provide for all his needs, forcing him to take on menial jobs to survive. He currently lives in Siranga slum in the heart of Kibra constituency with his younger sister Linet.

Despite facing trolls and haters, Stivo remains unshaken, attributing his strength to his faith. 'There are haters who brand me bad names but I don’t let them get to me. I always say that we were all created in the image of God,' he told Betty.

Stivo's story is a testament to the power of music and determination. From his humble beginnings to his rise as a music inspiration, Stivo Simple Boy is a shining example of what can be achieved with hard work and perseverance.
