On November 4, 2019, a tragic accident occurred along the Naivasha-Mai Mahiu road, claiming the life of a school principal and leaving another teacher fighting for their life.
The incident happened in the early morning hours when the two principals and their driver were on their way to Naivasha town to collect KCSE examination papers.
Unfortunately, their vehicle collided with the rear of a stalled lorry near Governors camp, resulting in the immediate death of a female teacher from a private school in Mai Mahiu town.
Naivasha Deputy Commissioner Mathioya Mbogo confirmed the incident, stating that plans had been made to supply the affected schools with the examination papers.
He added that officers had been dispatched to the scene to gather more information, and the examination papers had already been dispatched.
