November 4, 2019, marked a significant moment for many mothers who have struggled with miscarriage, as celebrities like Size 8, Beyoncé, and Nana Owiti shared their personal stories of loss and resilience.
For women of a certain age, the expectation to settle down, get married, and have children can be overwhelming. However, when things don't go as planned, it's essential to acknowledge the emotional toll of miscarriage and the importance of seeking support.
Size 8, a popular gospel artist, recently shared photos of her baby bump, expressing gratitude for another chance at motherhood. However, her journey was not without its challenges, as she had previously suffered a miscarriage in December 2018.
“Stories were in many blogs that I was pregnant but I never did really confirm it,” she wrote on social media. “I just wanted to go with the fight privately. But God decided the best lane for me and I lost the pregnancy juzi.”
Size 8's experience is not unique, as many women struggle to cope with the loss of a pregnancy. Beyoncé, for instance, also lost a pregnancy before the birth of her daughter Blue Ivy.
“I heard the heartbeat. I picked out names, I envisioned what my child would look like… I was feeling very maternal,” she said. “Literally the week before I went to the doctor, everything was fine.”
Other celebrities, like Ludacris' wife Eudoxie and Nana Owiti, King Kaka's wife, have also shared their experiences with miscarriage, highlighting the importance of seeking support and finding ways to cope with the emotional pain.
According to Baby Centre, it's perfectly normal to find it hard to cope after a miscarriage. However, mothers who have lost their little ones are encouraged to grieve at their own pace and to seek help and support from family, friends, and online communities.
