On November 4, 2019, the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination kicked off countrywide, with over 699,745 candidates sitting for the exams.

Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha supervised the opening of Kisumu Central exam container, emphasizing the need for tight security measures to prevent examination leaks.
