On November 3, 2019, Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili, popularly known as Babu Owino, shared a concerning update on his health via his official Facebook account.
He posted a photo of himself lying in a CT scan machine, stating that he was unwell and in need of God's healing.
“May God heal me because I must lead this nation someday,” Owino captioned the photo, sparking concerns about his health.
Although Owino did not disclose the specific reason for his hospitalization or the facility he was admitted to, reports indicate that he had been unwell for the past week.
His absence from recent Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) rallies ahead of the November 7th Kibra parliamentary by-election has also raised eyebrows.
