On Sunday, November 3, 2019, world number one Novak Djokovic claimed his fifth Paris Masters title, defeating Canadian Denis Shapovalov 6-3 6-4.

The Serbian's impressive display came with only one break point faced throughout the match, as he secured a 34th career Masters title.

"I served very well, there were not many rallies in the match. A break in each set was enough, it was the best serving performance in this tournament," Djokovic said.

Shapovalov, playing his first Masters final, struggled to keep up with Djokovic's experience, ultimately falling short in the match.

Despite being supplanted by Rafael Nadal at the top of the ATP rankings on Monday, November 4, Djokovic's victory marked a strong performance ahead of the ATP Finals in London, which took place from November 10-17.
