On November 3, 2019, Kapseret legislator Oscar Sudi made a series of allegations against former Premier Raila Odinga, claiming he had used witchcraft to create a rift between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto.
Sudi, who believes Raila is a symbol of bad omen and lack of progress, stated that Kenyans should not allow him to tear apart the Jubilee party and cause instability in the country, which he claims is Odinga's ultimate target.
According to Sudi, Raila's actions have brought a lot of disharmony in the Jubilee party, which once stood firmly on the party's manifesto. He also claimed that Raila had tried to use him to reach out to Ruto, but he outrightly turned down the request.
"I know he used witchcraft to sneak into our house and create confusion, I am calling upon Kenyans to forcefully cleanse him through prayers," Sudi had remarked.
He further emphasized that since the Handshake initiative, the president's decisions and opinions seem to have been compromised by Odinga, and believes Raila has a charm with which he uses to render people thoughtless and therefore, manages to control them with ease.
Sudi added that the president should be committed to prayer to free him from any such dark powers, so that his original mind and thinking, which has been since charmed, is restored to normal.
