Heavy rains have caused devastating floods in Baringo County, claiming the lives of two people.
On Friday, a 30-year-old man and his sister drowned while trying to cross Kerio River to retrieve their livestock, which had wandered into neighbouring Elgeyo Marakwet County.
The man's body has yet to be recovered, and local residents are frustrated by the lack of assistance from the county government in the search operation.
Residents have appealed to the county government to provide help in searching for the body, citing that they have not received any assistance despite informing the county about the incident.
They have decried the lack of assistance, saying it has made the search operation even more difficult due to the ongoing rains.
